Who We Are

The Lone Star College System (Lone Star College System) Police Department serves approximately 30,000 students each semester at five colleges and several learning centers throughout northern Harris and southern Montgomery counties.

The Department consists of both sworn police officers and non-sworn guards, posted to units at each college, reporting to a college police chief and the college administration. Police operations at the District level are overseen by the District Director of Public Safety, who reports to the Police Commissioner.

We are a full-service law enforcement agency, certified by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education (TCLEOSE). We have primary jurisdiction on all property owned, leased, rented, or controlled by the Lone Star College System.
