Lone Star College System's 2007 AtD Proposal
In July, 2007 Lone Star College System received the first in a series of four, $100,000 grants from Houston Endowment, Inc. to implement the AtD Initaitve. Lone Star College System's application for funding focused on five critical areas of student success:
Critical Area 1: Completion of the developmental math, reading and writing sequences.
Critical Area 2: Transition from developmental courses into college algebra and Composition I
Critical Area 3: Completion of college algebra and Composition I (gatekeeper courses).
Critical Area 4: Fall-to-fall retention/persistence
Critical Area 5: Black student completion and success rates
