Team Descriptions and Areas of Responsibility
Leadership Team: The Leadership Team will:
- Provide leadership and oversight for the institutionalization of the AtD initiative;
- Allocate fiscal and human resources and set AtD priorities and goals;
- Monitor progress toward AtD goals; and
- Submit regular progress reports to the Lone Star College System Board of Trustees as well as to key external stakeholders.
Steering Committee: The Steering Committee will:
- Facilitate communication between district-wide AtD groups and the Leadership Team in regards to fiscal and human resource concerns;
- Prepare and/or receive recommendations representative of all AtD groups for Leadership Team review;
- Coordinate initiatives and provide feedback to AtD teams;
- Overseesand monitor the proper use of Houston Endowment Grant and institutional funds based on the AtD grant guidelines, college implementation plans and district policy; and
- Coordinate submission of annual evaluations to the Houston Endowment and MDC.
District Core Team The District Core Team will be responsible for the overall coordination, planning, implementation and institutionalization of the AtD initiative to include:
- Soliciting input from internal and external stakeholders;
- Analyzing data and making recommendations to the Leadership Team on policy, priorities, goals, measurable outcomes, and necessary financial and human resources based on identified gaps in student success;
- Making recommendations on District Task Force initiatives;
- Coordinating efforts among the college-level Core Teams, Data Teams and Task Forces; and
- Providing regular updates to the Leadership Team on progress toward goals and evaluation of initiatives.
District Data Team: The District Data Team is tasked with:
- Submitting district-wide baseline and on-going cohort data to MDR;
- Coordinating data collection efforts among the District Team and College Data Teams;
- Assisting in the analysis and interpretation of data; and
- Providing data to effectively evaluate and institutionalize District Task Force initiatives, policies and practices.
District Task Forces: The District Tasks Forces will:
- Develop a plan of work for the implementation and evaluation of district-level AtD initiatives;
- Coordinate efforts among task forces when college-level and district-level initiatives and projects overlap;
- Make recommendations to the District Core Team on strategies and fiscal and human resources needed to ensure accomplishment of AtD goals and priorities;
- Utilize both qualitative and quantitative data to evaluate AtD initiatives; and
- Provide regular updates to the District Core Team on progress toward implementation and evaluation of AtD initiatives.
College Core Teams
The College Core Teams will be responsible for college-level: coordination, planning, implementation and institutionalization of the AtD initiative to include
- Soliciting input from internal and external stakeholders;
- Analyzing data and making recommendations to the District Core Team on policy, priorities, goals, measurable outcomes, and necessary financial and human resources based on identified gaps in student success;>
- Make recommendations on initiatives which will be assigned to the College Task Force;
- Coordinating efforts among the College Data Team and College Task Forces; and
- Monitor progress of College Task Forces and providing regular updates to the District Core Team on progress toward college-specific goals and evaluation of initiatives.
College Data Teams: Tasks assigned to each of the five College Data Teams include:
- Providing the College Core Team with baseline and cohort data;
- Assisting the College Core Team to engage students, faculty, staff and the community as a whole through qualitative and survey techniques;
- Assisting the College Core Team in analyzing and interpreting data;
- Providing data to effectively evaluate and institutionalize College Task Force initiatives, policies and practices.
College Task Forces: The College Tasks Forces will:
- Develop a plan of work for the implementation and evaluation of college-level AtD initiatives;
- Make recommendations to the College Core Team on strategies and fiscal and human resources needed to ensure accomplishment of AtD goals and priorities;
- Utilize both qualitative and quantitative data to evaluate and institutionalize AtD initiatives; and
- Provide regular updates to the College Core Team on progress toward implementation and evaluation of AtD initiatives.
